FAQ
Will my cell phone work at the retreat center?
Cell phone service at Haramara will depend on which service you have and if it has the 1900 GSM frequency band. Check with your service provider about your specific phone and service and to add International Calling (Mexico) to your current plan. If you do not let your provider know to change your service, you will be charged very high roaming fees. There is a cell tower in Sayulita with limited accessibility from certain places at the highest point on the property, and AT&T and Verizon work the best.
What type of food and drink will be served at the Retreat?
Three healthy and delicious gourmet meals will be made from only the freshest natural, often organic, and local ingredients. The Haramara menu is chosen daily by their chef based on the ingredients that are available that day. The retreat will begin with a cleanse, and after that, the always-changing daily menu for the week will begin with vegan cuisine and continue that throughout the week. By mid-week, the chef introduces some seafood, eggs and cheese for those who are not vegan. With advance notice, special dietary requirements can also be accommodated. Coffee, fresh-squeezed juice and smoothies will be offered in the mornings. Tea, purified water and fresh fruit are available all day.
Do I need to attend every session?
Unless health dictates otherwise, Michael strongly encourages attendance at each of his sessions. The week-long journey has been designed to optimize your well-being, and each part builds upon the next. You will not regret making that commitment to yourself. However, we have built in lots of space in the afternoons to get out in nature, participate in a various wellness workshops and experiences, or just stare at the ocean, or nap.
What do I need to bring?
